My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.

Our Story
Mimi Mutahi and Miriam Woldu met working together at the Equity & Inclusion Office at the University of British Columbia in the Okanagan. Being both originally from East Africa, they instantly shared a similar lived experience, as well as a passion for social justice work. Mimi’s social justice approach is rooted in her degree in Economics, as well as her time working with young professionals at the World Bank. Miriam’s social justice approach is rooted in her degree in Human Kinetics, with a specific focus on health equity and accessibility for marginalized communities.
With a desire to fearlessly and generously create equitable and inclusive practices at any opportunity they could, they decided to begin Tahi & Woldu Advising: an Equity and Inclusion social enterprise that allowed them to combine their lived experience, their passions, and their expertise.
Our Mission
At Tahi & Woldu Advising, our fundamental goal is to actively prioritize and participate in developing equitable and inclusive practices within organizations and communities across Canada. We believe that this is done by remaining diligent to the integrity and knowledge of equity work, as well as consistently ensuring that an adaptable model is
accessible for all individuals we interact with.
As a Social Enterprise, we are greatly committed to valuing and supporting the betterment of marginalized communities through active community engagement. For further information about our work, please leave
us a note and we will be in touch soon.
